Hist/Bio Note
The LGCM (called the Gay Christian Movement until 1987) began in 1976. It continues to be an ecumenical organization with links to LGBT groups of many denominations internationally. It has included local chapters since 1977, an active Women's Group since 1978, an Evangelical Fellowship since 1979, and a Young Gay Christian Group since 1982. The LGCM publishes the Gay Christian.
