The Ed Hansen Papers include photocopies of his original papers: clippings, a report, the text of a sermon, and most importantly, numerous letters he wrote to friends and family about his experiences and his reflections on these activities while he interned at the Glide Foundation, an arm of Glide Memorial Church.
Hansen lived in San Francisco for one year (1965-66) during an internship with the Adult Youth Project at Glide Foundation, an arm of Glide Memorial Church. During this period he worked with youth in the Tenderloin, including many young gay, lesbian and transgender teens and young adults.
