"T, B & D"

We are three gay students at a Lutheran seminary.  Although our voices are silenced, we stand together in the faith that God has called us to ministry, and in the hope that one day soon our gifts will be honored by this church.

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.  The commandments are summed up in this word, "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Contribution Story

This is one of three identical stoles honoring three students at a Lutheran seminary.  The three were given to me in 1999, when I was visiting another seminary in the same city.  All three young men are now ordained pastors serving Lutheran congregations.
