Howard Miller donated this stole as his home congregation, Tyler Place Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, was studying the possibility of becoming a More Light congregation, thereby making a public commitment to work towards the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people into the life and leadership of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Howie contributed greatly to this process, and four months after sending this stole, was proud to report that Tyler Place had, indeed, voted to become More Light.
