Minneapolis, Minnesota

This tallit honors Rabbi Stacy Offner.  In 1984 Rabbi Offner became the first woman rabbi in the state of Minnesota.  In 1987, she became the first out lesbian rabbi to serve in a “mainstream” congregation.  Rabbi Offner is currently serving as the beloved rabbi of Shir Tikvah Congregation:  A Reform Congregation Serving the Twin Cities.  Shir Tikvah is a progressive, urban congregation committed to the building of a dynamic, caring, inclusive community in the spirit of Liberal Judaism.
