This stole is being sent to the Shower of Stoles Project as a celebration of past ministry that is no longer available to me in the Church of the Brethren as the Northern Indiana District removed my ordination in December of 2010 ending over twenty years of ordination and ministry due to my integrity regarding my sexuality and a wonderful relationship.
Of equal if not greater significance is the fact that we celebrated my In-Care status with the Universal Metropolitan Community Churches.
As we say often at aChurch4Me? MCC, “God is good – all the time!”
